○ Title: Structures of light neutron-rich nuclei, 17,19C

 

○ Abstract:  Structures of light neutron-rich nuclei 17,19C have been studied by nucleon
knockout reactions. Neutron removals from 18,20C beams have revealed cross-shell
1/2- states (neutron p1/2 hole states) at 2.66(2) [1] and 2.89(10) MeV [2] in 17C
and 19C, respectively. A shell-model study of these states indicates that the
π+ρ tensor force [3] plays a crucial role in describing their excitation energies.
Proton removal channel of 20N has revealed a high-lying (~6.6 MeV), isolated,
narrow-widthed, single-neutron emitting resonance in 19C. This state has been
interpreted as a proton p3/2 hole state with spin-parity
