Abstract : The condition for the separability of a system of charged
particles in a uniform magnetic field into Center-of-mass and relative
coordinates (referred to as Kohn's Theorem)
requires the charge-to-mass ratios of the particles to be identical,
$e_a/m_a=epsilon$ for all particles. Then this same condition implies
that the system carries a Newton-Hooke symmetry (which is hiddenly
identical to ``imported'' Galilean symmetry).
Closer scrutiny shows that the separability in fact depends on the
Abelian symmetry group made of translations and generalized boosts alone,
as illustrated by the Hill Problem in Celestial Mechanics.
