자연과학대학은 2016년 3월 호주 서부 Perth에 위치한 서호주대학(University of Western Australia)의 자연과학대학(Faculty of Science)와 학생교환협정을 체결하였다. UWA는 호주의 연구중심대학 협의체인 G8 (Group of Eight)에 속해 있으며 QS세계대학평가(2015-2016)에서 100위 안에 진입한 호주의 대표적인 명문대학이다. UWA와 우리 대학은 2005년 최초의 학술교류협정을 체결하였으며, 2015년부터 학생교환협정을 체결하고 상호 학생교환프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 이에 더하여 자연과학대학에서는 2015년 5월 UWA의 연구부총장(Deputy of Vice Chancellor, Research)인 Robyn Owen과 권영욱 자연과학대학장과의 미팅 이후 지속적인 논의를 통해 자연과학분야의 교류협력 증진을 위하여 별도의 학생교환협정을 체결하였으며 2016년 2학기부터 자체 교환학생프로그램을 운영할 예정이다.

Student Exchange Program in Place with University of Western Australia

The College of Science entered into a new partnership with one of the membership institutions of Group of Eight, or G8, which is a prestigious coalition of research-oriented Australian universities. The UWA is well-noted for its outstanding scholastic caliber amongst international research institutions, which has also been clearly exemplified by the fact that UWA is ranked top 100 according to QS World University Ranking 2015-2016.  It was the year of 2005 when SKKU created relationship with UWA, and after Dr. Robyn Owen, Deputy of Vice Chancellor for Research, UWA, met with Dean KWON May last year. The College of Science is going to provide study abroad opportunity at UWA to science students from 2016 fall and also put more efforts on taking in Australian students through New Colombo Plan.
