박제근 교수 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century 선정 물리학과 박제근 교수가 영국에서 발행되는 세계 3대 인명사전 가운데 하나인 International Biographical Centre (IBC)에서 발행하는 2008년 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century 에 선정되었다. 박제 근 교수는 고체물리학 분야의 강한상관작용전자계와 자성재료 연구를 수행하고 있으며, 지금까지 Nature Materials 지에 2편 (2004, 2006)을 포함하여 총 150여 편의 SCI 논문을 발표하고 있다. 박제근 교수는 이 외에도 IBC사가 선정한 2004년 International Scientist of the Year와 2005년 Leading Scientists of the World에도 포함되었다. 또한 세계적인 인명사전인 Marquis Who's Who의 Science and Engineering (2003-현재), in the World (2006-현재), in Asia (2006-현재), in America (2006-현재)에 등재되 었다.
