제목:Measuring Transfer Reactions with Radioactive Beams

초록: Transfer reactions have long been a cornerstone of our understanding

of the structure of stable nuclei, providing crucial information on

the single-particle structure of nuclei near stability. With the

advent of radioactive beams, transfer reactions in inverse kinematics

are now being used to probe the evolution of nuclear structure in

exotic nuclei, providing information of importance to nuclear

astrophysics and nuclear structure. To perform these reactions using

the growing range of radioactive beams becoming available at new

facilities, it is important to optimize instrumentation for such

measurements. The ORRUBA and superORRUBA arrays have been developed in

order to perform such reactions. Details of the design of these arrays

will be presented, along with results of select measurements and plans

for these arrays at future facilities.
