초록:  After briefly reviewing the astrophysical probes of Dark Matter properties, I will concentrate on our own Galaxy, and show how a thorough analysis of existing dynamical and photometric data can bring us relevant information on a dark component of matter in the Milky Way.

The observed rotation curve, dynamical tracer 'par excellence' tracks the full gravitational potential of the Galaxy; its comparison with the baryonic only potential -inferred by observations of stars and gas in the bulge and disk- permits to extract valuable information on the missing component, its presence and distribution in our own host Galaxy.
