아래와 같이 콜로퀴움을 개최하오니 많이 참석해 주시기 바랍니다. 4시부터 2층 라운지세미나실에 다과를 준비하오니 많은 참석 부탁드립니다 아 래 1. 제 목 : Introduction to Quantum Information Processing 2. 연 사 : 안 도 열 교수 (서울시립대학교 전자전기컴퓨터공학부) 3. 일 시 : 2007년 4월 13일(금요일) 오후 4:30 4. 장 소 : 물리학과 세미나실(31355호실) 5. 초 록 : In this talk, current status of experimental and theoretical work on quantum bits based on the semiconductor quantum dots in the University of Seoul will be presented. A new proposal utilizing the multi-valley quantum state transitions in a Si quantum dot as a possible candidate for a quantum bit with a long decoherence time will be also given. Qubits are the multi-valley symmetric and anti-symmetric orbitals. Evolution of these orbitals is controlled by an external electric field, which turns on and off the inter-valley interactions. Initialization is achieved by turning on the inter-valley Hamiltonian to let the system settle down to the symmetric orbital state. Application of quantum information theory to the black hole information paradox will also be discussed.
