초록: Superconductors have no resistance to DC electric current and are the foundation for an emerging field of electronics. One of their unique properties is the ability to distort input signals in a way similar to diodes and transistors. This distortion could be harnessed for low noise detection, restrained for passive microwave filters, and rendered purely inductive for quantum read-out devices. Laser scanning microscopy was developed to examine the nature of this distortion. After a brief tutorial on this new microscopy technique, which can actually image electric current, results on superconducting samples and their implications for the science and applications of superconductivity will be presented.
