Title: History of Superconductivity and its Future

Abstract: The superconductivity is one of the most fascinating phenomena both for its fundamental principle as well as for its practical applications. I will overview the history of superconductivity in the last 100 years. In particular, I will focus on how the superconducting phenomena has paved the way for the Higgs mechanism, which is the fundamental mechanism with which elementary particles obtain masses. Through this exciting story, you can glimpse the fascinating journey and struggles of the great physicists of 20th century.
