초록: Classical thermodynamics and statistical physics have been successful

in the world of macroscopic bodies. Recently, researchers are trying to

extend thermodynamics to cover microscopic systems in nonequilibrium situations.

In this colloquium, I review the recent progresses in non-equilibrium stochastic thermodynamics

for driven small-sized systems in a thermal environment with the focus on

the efficiency of microscopic Brownian heat engine.
