5. Abstract:
Formulating and understanding the quantum theory of gravity is one of the holy grails in fundamental physics. Holographic principle or AdS/CFT correspondence allows us to connect the problem of quantum gravity and another challenging problem in theoretical physics, namely strongly-coupled quantum field theory. In this talk, I will discuss some of the developments utilizing holography to improve our understanding of quantum gravity via quantum field theory and vice versa.
